Meet the Team Behind FTCI
Sean Springfield — Founder & President
Sean’s career in telecom and electrical construction spans nearly three decades and covers just about every level of the industry. It began in 1996 in Colorado, building telecommunications towers and cell sites and traveling across the country to construct networks for a wide range of clients. In 2001 he relocated to California, where he spent six years managing the construction of greenfield central offices and data centers — environments that demand a level of technical precision and standards knowledge that most construction experience doesn’t prepare you for.
From there, Sean spent approximately fifteen years managing a technology division for a major corporation, overseeing the kind of complex, cross-disciplinary technical work that sits at the intersection of construction, engineering, and operations. That role is also where he built the team that would eventually become FTCI. When that chapter ended, Sean and two of his key leaders identified a clear gap in the market — technical construction services that actually meet the technical demands of the industry — and founded Forged Technical Consulting in 2019 to fill it.
Edgar Robles — Director of Operations
Mike Robles — Director of Technology
Mike has also been in the industry since 2011, and where Edgar leads people, Mike leads knowledge. His core strengths are technical problem-solving and staying ahead of the curve — researching emerging specifications, mastering new technologies, and then translating that expertise into practical training that brings the entire team up to speed.
In an industry where carrier standards, equipment technology, and construction requirements shift constantly, Mike’s role is what keeps FTCI’s work current and compliant. His ability to absorb complex technical information and make it actionable across a crew is one of the more underappreciated competitive advantages in the business — and one of the primary reasons FTCI can take on technically demanding builds with confidence.
