Structural Support And Platforms

Most rooftop equipment needs a support system that carries the load without harming the roof — steel platforms, frames, and FRP supports that spread weight and, where possible, avoid penetrating the membrane at all. FTCI builds and installs this structure directly, adding the platforms and supports a site needs rather than subbing the work out.

Roof Penetrations And Interior Routing

Where cable has to pass from the roof into the building, penetrations are cored and sealed, and conduit is run to the equipment space below. FTCI handles its own conduit bending, coring, and scanning — checking what’s inside a slab before cutting into it — for interior work that’s low-impact, clean, and safe in an occupied building.

Line, Antenna, And Testing

The RF side — running lines, mounting and aligning antennas, and testing the finished paths — is handled by the same crew on the same visit. Folding it into the rooftop scope means no waiting on a separate team to close out the site once the structure and cabling are in.

On a rooftop, the difference between a clean install and a callback is how carefully the building itself is protected. The practices that keep a rooftop site from becoming a problem for the property include:
